Ornella Collection Spring Summer 18

When someone asks about any season inspiration, brands and designers feel forced to give a poetic response. But the way our collections are made up are inspired by daily moments.  Ornella collection was born in tree different moments:  The first one was when I ran into a damaged and beautiful print roll of fabric. The first thing that crossed my mind was a peacock. The texture of the fabric was so soft that I figured it could become a full jumpsuit.  The second moment was in a conversation with one of our suppliers, she mentioned the color of the season "burnt red" The red textile made the perfect mach with my print ! The Real meanning of PATHE COLLECTION

So long since I wanted to tell everybody the real meaning of the last AW17-18 Collection "PATHE".  This might be more like the Designer personal story but I want it to write about  it before time runs away.  Pathe is the name of a community near my grandma's house, a lovely, magical place. This community works with wool looms to manufacture blankets. So since I start working sustainable fashion the origins of actual processes call my attention. I travel to Pathe to meet Marciano Ocampo the last craftsman or "artesano" as we call them in Mexico. Eilean in APIMEX

Last month we were invited as part of the designers collective “Central de Diseño” and we were challenged to translate the S/S18 trends into a total look proposal with the given materials by the Trend Lab of Apimex (LMA). Our proposal was exposed at the Supply fair of APIMEX next to our colleague designers  CARLOS HERRERA MX, Indigo 73 and Kurozetto all working with the “Primitive athletic trend” We love to share our design with you and we are proud to collaborate with such amazing designers without losing our sustainable soul. This proposal was a three piece look, at the top,  a vest with macrame textile intervention made out of leftovers textiles, under it an asymmetric shirt and baggy pants with color intervention....
