Last month we were invited as part of the designers collective “Central de Diseño” and we were challenged to translate the S/S18 trends into a total look proposal with the given materials by the Trend Lab of Apimex (LMA). Our proposal was exposed at the Supply fair of APIMEX next to our colleague designers CARLOS HERRERA MX, Indigo 73 and Kurozetto all working with the “Primitive athletic trend” We love to share our design with you and we are proud to collaborate with such amazing designers without losing our sustainable soul. This proposal was a three piece look, at the top, a vest with macrame textile intervention made out of leftovers textiles, under it an asymmetric shirt and baggy pants with color intervention....
Our brand started in 2012 as Beaumaris Eilean's personal project. As it grew it started needing a name and a logo. At the beginning, the brand was named Eilean Couture and had a provisional logo. On 2016, Eilean adopted the organic philosophy so the brand became Eilean Organic Couture. This logo was designed by Renata Fonseca (@renatamtzf), a local artist. We loved this logo, because we love to support local artists and because it was very feminine and fun, just as our consumer. Since December 2016, we started working with Localista Estudio (@localistaestudio) on reconstructing internally our brand to have stronger basis to grow and be a more profitable business. During this process, we've analyzed our market and where our...
Tepetate is the name of our Spring Summer 2017 collection! What does Tepetate mean? It is Spanish for limestone. This collection is very important for our brand, since it brings a more sophisticated and evolved image for our costumers. This time, we worked with organic loom cotton, bamboo fabrics and organic cotton (read more about our textiles in our #WeCare section). We used oatmeal, black and white colors to portray organic luxury at its best. This collection is easy to mix and combine while being very versatile. The theme behind this collection, tries (as all of our collections) to raise awareness about something affecting the environment. This time it is all about the negative impact of limestone mining, which pollutes water and...
What makes us a sustainable Brand? We are committed with the environment and we care about protecting it and how our work in the fashion industry impacts on it. Fashion is the second most polluting industry after the oil industry. All the production process from the raw materials to manufacture, has a negative impact. Some of the actions that negatively impact the environment, are chemical wastes that arrive directly to landfills and socially the non ethical work situations. So what actions make us different and a better choice for you to consume? We work with alternative processes and fabrics, such as dyeing textiles with only natural pigments, the use of innovative textiles produced with recycled PET and cotton, and the...
